Students at Om Shantidhama performing "Yangan" - a way of worshiping the fire god. They perform it everday early in the morning. Om Shantidhama is a residential vedic school for boys. Nestled among the confluence of hills, forest and rivers - Om Shanti Dhama is a world removed from the maddeningly fast and often chaotic urban India. Students from allover the country are selected to take part in its Vedic and free education system. What is unique about this institute is that they have blended the traditional and modern education system. Here computer and science is taught with the same passion as the Vedas and Shastras, helping the students to grow spiritually as well as earn a living. Bonding with the nature and animal world is a mandatory part of the institute's curriculum. Karnataka, India. Arindam Mukherjee
